Making a Difference

We know that we are very fortunate, so we like to pick a cause each year to donate to. This year we are supporting Kiva, which connects people through lending for the sake of alleviating poverty. Kiva takes an interesting approach to providing aid, because it supports local entrepreneurs in developing countries that build their communities with their business. You are able to see profiles of all the entrepreneurs and choose which ones and how much you would like to lend.

In 2008, we participated in the One Laptop Per Child Project's “Give One Get One” program. The laptop that we received was donated to a family in Ethiopia.
